Our goal at Caton Consulting is to demystify the art of purchasing a headset correctly, the first time around. I have been in the
headset business for ten years and have seen lots of products come and go.

Once upon a time, headsets were used only by
telephone switchboard operators who couldn't get much work done
if they had to hold a phone in their hand. Headsets are now used
by people from all walks of life in business, at home, in cars,
on the street and in school. Headsets today are light and
comfortable. It's easy to talk and work at the same time!
In the office, it's
more convenient and comfortable to use a headset, than to
squeeze a handset between your cheek and your shoulder. It is
also more productive to use a headset, than to try to use
your computer with one hand while you hold your phone with the
other hand.
In a car, it's much
safer to talk with a headset, than to hold a cell phone in
one hand while you try to steer, shift, turn on the wipers and
lower the radio with the other hand. A headset may help you
avoid an accident! If you are concerned about cell phone
radiation, a headset will help keep your head away from a
possibly dangerous transmitter.
Cordless phones can
provide great mobility, freedom and efficiency to move
around your home, business or back yard; but you'll be much more
mobile, free and efficient if you can use you hands for
something other than holding a phone against your head. We have
